Autism aren’t the same
02:00PM August 12, 2019 to 10:00AM September 12, 2019
This might not occur to many, but all living with Autism aren’t the same. Like all of us, even they are distinct and special from each other. But this thought doesn’t occur to the ones who fail to understand the differently-abled. And hence, the change must begin from here.
The Social Street Advocacy
11:00AM To 04:38PM - January 1, 2019
Twenty differently-abled individuals were brought to The Social Street office and paired with their employees to drive real-time sensitization. They together worked on “A Canvas of Expression” wherein they were supposed to create a stencilled coloured expression on a muslin cloth. We had shared accessibility stencilled with everyone. Since the employees had to turn around a deliverable, they had very little time to feel uncomfortable and adapted quickly.
This partnership which resulted in beautiful canvases filled the employees with a sense of pride, awe and motivation and they could access the capacities of our differently-abled members. Overall, it was a rich learning experience!
